Friday Favourites

Favourite Inexpensive Detangling Conditioner - Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Moisturizing Conditioner - $2.99

What Herbal Essences says: my moisturizing hair conditioner is deliciously hydrating. why not give your dry hair a drink? I say you can never get too much of a good thing. so say "hello" to a deep dousing of lush hydration with my rich formula. I’ve got moisturizers and a fusion of Hawaiian coconut and orchid. drink up and replenish much needed moisture. my hair conditioner will reunite you with manageable, silky, smooth hair.

Why I love it...
Some of you may know and for those of you who don’t, I have two daughters of mixed race with extremely tight curly corkscrew curls.  I have spoken to so many parents and friends with curly/mixed hair who seem to be on the never-ending quest of finding a good detangling conditioner to help comb out this type of hair. Well look no further, this stuff is “magic in a bottle” as my daughter calls it.  It used to take almost 30 minutes to comb out my eldest daughters long curly hair after washing, didn’t matter what product I tried. Nothing seemed to make the hair slippery enough for a comb to pass through easily until I tried Hello Hydration Moisturizing Conditioner. It now takes me less then 5 minutes to comb through my daughters hair. Even when it’s at it’s worst, after a day of swimming and napping, all matted up and full of snarls, this stuff helps a comb pass through with ease.
It also smells divine and it’s cheap! It can’t get any better then that. One of the main ingredients in this is Bis Aminopropyl Dimethicone, which is a silicone that helps to give hair that slip. It’s cut our bath time routine more then in half and with two girls who aren’t to fond of getting there hair combed out this has saved many, many teary nights.

Tip: Put a dime-sized amount into a spray bottle with water for a great detangling leave-in conditioner.

My eldest daughter and her "crazy hair" as she likes to call it.
